Information On The Original Coin:
The Celtic Durotriges Stater is an ancient coin with heavily abstracted designs. On one side, it showcases an abstract representation of a horse, which through its simplified design of lines and dots, emphasizes the animal's strength, power, and elegance. The reverse side of the coin displays an abstract rendition of a head, detailing various hairstyles which may have been common among the warriors of the Durotriges tribe.

Information On The Coins Commissioner:
The Durotriges were a Celtic tribe who resided in South West England, particularly in the regions of present-day West Hampshire, Dorset, and neighboring parts of Somerset and Wiltshire. This tribe is notable for its unique coinage, which is considered one of the most distinct in Britain. One of the significant features of their coinage is its rapid debasement over time. The coins from the Durotriges tribe were in circulation in England prior to the invasion led by the Roman emperor Claudius. The era in which these coins were minted dates back to the time of Christ.
