A new set of regalia was made in 1840 for the Coronation at the Hague of King William II in silver gilt. The regalia were required due to the seperation of Holland from Belgium in 1831and the abdication of William I in 1840. The regalia have been present at the accession of every Monarch from William II, to the present day.

The Crown of William II - Made of silver gilt, set with imitation stones and pearls.

The Royal Sceptre - Elegantly made of silver gilt, the sceptre has a stylised leaf design at the top, supported by a small orb and cross.

The Royal Orb - The orb is made of silver gilt. It bears the classic form of a globe with initation jewelled meridian and bands, surmounted by a cross.
