The Crown of Portugal

This elegant chased gold crown contains no gems. It was made in the workshops of Antonio Gomes da Silva in Rio de Janeiro in 1817, for King John VI.

The crown is currently kept in the National Palace of Ajuda, Lisbon, with other items of regalia.
