For her engagement to Prince Charles in 1981, Diana, Princess of Wales was given a large 20-carat sapphire brooch surrounded by two rows of diamonds as an engagement gift by Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. Not being the type of person to wear a brooch, Diana later added rows of pearls to the brooch and turned it into a choker which she wore often, most well remembered was the night she danced at the White House with John Travolta in 1985.
This brooch is silver plated and features a large central blue bohemian crystal surrounded by a halo of white bohemian crystals.
Measurements
The brooch measures 2.5cm(1in) wide by 3.3 cm(1.3in).
Weight: approximately 20g
