"Information On The Original Coin:
The silver penny was minted in Lincoln by the moneyer Lelfnoth and falls under the PAXS type. A unique feature of this coin is the reverse inscription which not only mentions the moneyer but also the mint. This was a practical approach to ensure traceability. If any coins were found to be below the standard weight or purity, the issuer could be identified and then penalized accordingly.
