"Information On The Original Coin:
This Roman bronze Triens coin was equivalent to a third of an As or 1/48th of a Denarius. The reverse of this facsimile coin carries the inscriptions CONSTANTINUS AVG DTR, topped with a wreath. The coin's obverse showcases the laureate head of Constantine the Great.

Information On The Coins Commissioner:
Constantine I is often regarded as one of the most notable Roman Emperors. He was declared the successor to his father in York. One of his most significant contributions was granting official recognition to the Christian religion, making him the first Roman Emperor to do so. Later, he made the strategic decision to establish his capital in Byzantium. After renaming it Constantinopolis (known today as Constantinople and present-day Istanbul), this shift marked the beginning of Rome's gradual decline as the Empire's central hub.
